Supporting A Culturally Responsive Classroom - Where Do We Begin?
Time & Location
About the Event
It is essential that teachers provide learning experiences that are culturally sensitive and teaches young children the importance of valuing differences. Part one of this two-part series will focus on developing a better understanding of how our biases can negatively impact our interactions with children and their families. We will explore empathetic thinking and perspective taking and its role in our early childhood classrooms. We will also build on our existing knowledge and explore best practices to create early learning environments that aligns with inclusion and acceptance.
